The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and correct use , operation and maintenance Horticulture related tool and plant.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate). •Valid code EC driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Waters K53 driving test • 2 years’ driving experience • Must be in possession of driving permit (PDP). • Previous experience of a back- actor will be an added advantage.

Primary Duties

• Correct balancing of goods loaded • Check if the vehicle is roadworthy • Check if the vehicle is not overloaded (too high/ Long/ Wide) • Check and confirm the load is secure and balanced • Check correct operation of tie down and lifting • Report vehicle defects and clean the vehicle. • Assist with Tree felling • Operating of cranes/ slings • Relief other drivers in EMS and assist with other driving duties. • Fill in log book • Check documentation against the load • Responsibility for welfare and safety of crew • Responsible for vehicle and load whilst on the road • Dumping at legal sites • Ensure Compliance of lift equipment

Knowledge

• Safe working procedures • Job planning • Good road map interpretation

Skills

• Correct balancing and position of material loaded. • Truck mounted crane operation • Tipper truck experience
