About this role

Fidelity Services Group is looking for a Junior Branch Manager for its Paarl branch in the Western Cape. The branch manager runs the day-to-day business, from sales and marketing through to operations, admin and technical work. The role also has a clear focus on growing the branch and keeping crime levels down in the area.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the branch: guide the team, share the branch’s vision and strategy, and make sound decisions for its long-term growth.
  • Manage finances: set budgets and sales targets, prepare annual business plans, forecast accurately and keep the branch profit and loss on track. You will also manage collections.
  • Run operations: keep planning and production controls in place, track service levels and customer metrics, and act quickly when results slip. You will also manage the branch fleet and the area managers.
  • Handle client and safety matters: attend client visits for contact crimes yourself, and keep health and safety policies and company rules up to date.
  • Grow sales and marketing: run marketing activity, improve customer perception, build the branch’s social media presence and work closely with the sales team.
  • Develop business: find residential guarding and bulk sale opportunities, and draw up proposals for them.
  • Manage people and attrition: coach staff, handle HR matters, recruit to fill vacancies, and reduce staff and client losses within the branch.

What you need

  • A Grade B Security Certificate. You can also get this after appointment.
  • At least 3 years of experience at mid-management level.
  • Solid financial skills, including budgets, forecasting and profit and loss.
  • Matric, with a post-matric qualification in General Management (advantageous).
  • A Sales, Marketing or Management diploma (advantageous).
  • Experience in the security industry (preferred).
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Broad knowledge of operations, sales, technical work and admin.

Is this job for you?

This job suits an experienced manager who can run a branch as a whole. You should be comfortable with numbers, people and customers alike. If you have worked in security or guarding before, that will help you stand out.

Tips before you apply

  • Have your matric certificate, any management or sales qualifications, and proof of your Grade B Security Certificate or your plan to obtain it ready.
  • On your CV, show your mid-management years with clear numbers. Include budgets you managed, targets you met and how you grew sales or cut losses.
  • Give examples of how you lead teams, handle attrition and manage collections. Use short, specific stories that match the duties listed in the advert.
