Junior Merchandiser Intern

About this role

Managed People Solutions is looking for a Junior Merchandiser Intern to work in Durbanville, Western Cape. This is a hands-on internship in the liquor and retail industry. You will help make sure products are well stocked, neat and eye-catching in store.

What you’ll do

• Work out which stock needs merchandising in each store.
• Make sure the right products are on the shelves.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and pricing.
• Set up displays that follow the company’s merchandising standards.
• Keep accurate merchandising records.
• Spot out-of-stock items and report them to management and your Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
• Pass on customer issues and requests.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge and promotions, and visit stores on the call cycle.

What you need

• N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.
• Under 28 years old.
• Currently unemployed.
• No previous internship of this kind.
• An energetic, reliable and detail-focused attitude.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment.
