Junior Merchandiser Intern

About this role

Managed People Solutions is hiring a Junior Merchandiser Intern in Goodwood, Western Cape. The role focuses on the liquor and retail side of the business, where you help products look good and sell well in store.

What you’ll do

• Work out which stock needs to be merchandised and make sure the right products are on the shop floor.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and pricing.
• Set up displays that follow the company’s merchandising standards.
• Track out-of-stock items and report them to management and your Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
• Carry out store calls according to the call cycle.
• Pass on customer issues and requests, and keep accurate merchandising records.
• Stay up to date on product knowledge and current promotions.

What you need

• An N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.
• You must be under 28 years old.
• You must be currently unemployed.
• You must not have done a similar internship before.
• Good attention to detail and a reliable, energetic attitude.
