Junior Merchandiser Intern

About this role

Managed People Solutions is looking for a Junior Merchandiser Intern to work in Hout Bay, Western Cape. This is a hands-on internship in the liquor and retail industry, where you will help products look good on the shop floor and make sure shelves are stocked.

What you’ll do

• Work out which stock needs to be merchandised in store.
• Make sure the right products are on the shelves.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and pricing.
• Set up products the way the company’s merchandising standards ask for.
• Track out-of-stock items and report them to management and the Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
• Pass on customer issues and requests, and keep accurate merchandising records.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and current promotions, and visit stores on the call cycle.

What you need

• An N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.
• Under the age of 28.
• You must be currently unemployed.
• You must not have done a similar internship before.
• A reliable, energetic and detail-focused attitude, with an interest in fast-paced retail.
