Junior Merchandiser Intern

About this role

Managed People Solutions is looking for a Junior Merchandiser Intern to work in the liquor and retail sector. The base is Johannesburg, in the Norwood and Rosebank area. This is a structured internship that gives you hands-on experience with well-known brands in stores.

What you’ll do

• Work out which stock needs to be merchandised and make sure the right products are on the shelves.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and pricing in store.
• Set up displays following the company’s merchandising standards.
• Spot out-of-stock items and report them to management and your Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
• Carry out store calls based on the set call cycle.
• Pass on customer issues and requests, and keep accurate merchandising records.
• Keep your product knowledge and current promotions up to date.

What you need

• N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.
• You must be under 28 years old.
• You must be currently unemployed.
• You must not have done a similar internship before.
• A detail-oriented, reliable and energetic attitude suited to a fast-paced store environment.
