Junior Merchandiser Intern

About this role

Managed People Solutions is hiring a Junior Merchandiser intern for a store-based role in Umhlanga, Durban. The internship is for someone who wants practical, hands-on experience in the liquor and retail industry, working with well-known brands in-store.

What you’ll do

• Check which stock needs to be merchandised and make sure the right products are on the shop floor.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and pricing.
• Set up displays that follow the company’s merchandising standards.
• Track out-of-stock items and report them to management and the Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
• Pass on customer issues and requests, and keep your merchandising records accurate.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and promotions, and visit stores on the call cycle.

What you need

• N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.
• Currently unemployed.
• Have not done a similar internship before.
• Under the age of 28.
• Reliable, energetic and detail-oriented, with an interest in retail.
