Junior Merchandiser Internship

About this role

Managed People Solutions is offering an 18-month internship in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. The programme gives young people who are unemployed hands-on workplace experience while they work alongside experienced professionals.

You will work as a Junior Merchandiser. The programme is built to grow your industry knowledge and make you more employable.

What you’ll do

• Work out which stock needs to be merchandised and how much you need to draw.
• Check products on the shelf, including their age, quality, stock rotation and price tags.
• Carry out merchandising tasks according to the cycle brief you are given.
• Handle customer complaints, questions and requests, and pass on feedback.
• Learn the products and promotions well enough to explain them, and keep that knowledge up to date.
• Keep accurate records of your merchandising work and visits.
• Report out-of-stock products to the RSM.

What you need

• You must be under 28 years old.
• You must have completed your N6 TVET Certificate.
• You should be studying towards, or planning to complete, your 18-month workplace experience so you can apply for an N6 Diploma.
• Your N6 must be in one of these fields: Management Assistant, Business Management or Marketing Management.
