Junior Merchandiser Internship

About this role

Managed People Solutions is offering an 18-month internship in Parys, Free State. The programme is for young, unemployed people who want hands-on workplace experience. You will work as a Junior Merchandiser and learn from experienced professionals.

What you’ll do

• Decide which stock needs merchandising and work out how much you need.
• Check product quality on the shelf, stock rotation, date codes and price tags.
• Carry out merchandising tasks according to the cycle brief.
• Look into customer complaints, questions and requests, and pass on feedback.
• Keep your product and promotion knowledge up to date.
• Record your merchandising work accurately.
• Make store calls according to the call cycle and tell the RSM about out-of-stock products.

What you need

• Completed N6 TVET College certificate.
• N6 certificate in Management Assistant, Business Management or Marketing Management.
• Under 28 years old.
• Ready to complete the 18-month workplace experience programme so you can apply for the N6 Diploma.

Is this job for you?

This internship suits a young person who has finished N6 and wants to build real work experience. You should be happy working on shop floors, checking stock and talking to customers. You should also be keen to learn and stay for the full 18 months.
