Junior Merchandiser

About this role

Managed People Solutions is looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join its team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This is a paid, 12-month full-time internship. It is designed to give you real workplace experience in sales, merchandising and customer service.

What you’ll do

• Ride along with Sales Representatives on their daily routes as part of a small team.
• Help with sales activities and work towards sales targets.
• Set up products so shelves and displays look neat, well stocked and eye-catching.
• Help customers and build good relationships with them.
• Learn how sales, merchandising and in-store promotions work in practice.
• Work with your team to meet sales and merchandising goals.

What you need

• A Diploma in Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude, honesty and a strong sense of responsibility.
• A willingness to learn, take initiative and work in a team.
• A real interest in sales, customer service and merchandising.
• A firm commitment to finishing the full 12-month programme, working full time.
• Availability to work through the December peak season, including the festive season.
