Lending Advisor

About this role

FirstRand’s FNB Private Banking & Advisory team is hiring a Lending Advisor in Johannesburg. You will work with private clients and private wealth clients of RMB Private Bank, helping them secure lending that fits their finances.

What you’ll do

• Run the full lending process for each deal, from application and documents to credit assessment and final fulfilment.
• Review each client’s financial needs, cash flow and residential lending requirements.
• Explain residential lending products to clients and recommend suitable structures.
• Look after a portfolio of leads and find new business opportunities.
• Build lasting client relationships and give sound advice on growing, building and protecting wealth.
• Bring in new clients and deepen existing ones, using your understanding of credit, financial statements and market trends.

What you need

• Essential: NQF Level 6 or higher in Banking, Finance or a related field.
• Essential: 3 to 4 years’ experience in lending, financial advisory or direct sales.
• Advantageous: Experience in residential lending or credit structuring.
• Ability to analyse complex data sets.
• Adaptable and curious, with a hunter mindset.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, sales-driven environment.
