Merchandiser

About this role

Managed People Solutions is recruiting a Merchandiser for its Cape Town CBD team. You will help brands look their best on store shelves and make sure customers can find what they need.

What you’ll do

• Keep the right products in stock and on display so they catch shoppers’ attention.
• Count stock, spot what needs restocking and pull stock following standard operating procedures.
• Build and maintain product displays that meet company merchandising standards.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and pricing so shelves look neat and fresh.
• Keep shelves and back-up storage tidy and organised.
• Complete store visits on schedule and carry out the merchandising plan for each cycle.
• Report out-of-stock products to management, and keep accurate records of store activity and competitor activity.
• Handle customer queries and complaints politely, passing on anything you cannot resolve.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• At least 12 months’ experience in an FMCG merchandising environment.
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Basic knowledge of spirits.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep high store standards.
• A friendly, energetic and customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to work at various retail stores in Cape Town CBD and surrounding areas.
