Merchandiser

About this role

Managed People Solutions is recruiting a Merchandiser for retail stores in the Southern Suburbs of the Western Cape. You will keep products well displayed and stores up to company standards.

What you’ll do

• Visit stores on the set call cycle and carry out merchandising work as the cycle brief and standard operating procedure (SOP) set out.
• Count stock, work out what needs merchandising, and restock shelves so they stay full and neat.
• Check product quality, stock rotation and price tags on every visit.
• Keep shelves, storerooms and back-up areas clean and organised.
• Greet customers, including store managers, and deal with their queries, requests and complaints. Pass on any problems to management.
• Record your work, stock levels, out-of-stock items, competitor activity and other key figures. Send documents such as Proof of Delivery (POD) to the right departments on time.
• Look after company assets, including the company vehicle, laptop and handheld devices.

What you need

• Matric (Grade 12).
• At least 12 months of merchandising experience in an FMCG environment.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Basic knowledge of spirits.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A vibrant and energetic personality.
