About this role
IIE Rosebank International, part of the ADvTECH Group, is looking for a part-time Accounting lecturer in Pretoria. The job covers the full teaching and learning cycle, from lesson preparation to student feedback, and helps lift the quality of teaching in the programme.
What you’ll do
- Track student engagement on the Learner Management System and act on what it shows.
- Monitor pass rates at module level and support students who are struggling.
- Give ongoing academic support and help students develop.
- Teach online as well as in person.
- Take part in Programme Coordination Committee meetings.
- Help improve course content and assessments, and consult on modules.
- Mark work on time so students get useful feedback.
What you need
- Minimum: an Honours degree in Accounting, Accounting Sciences or a relevant cognate field.
- Or: a Master’s or PhD in Accounting, Accounting Sciences or a relevant cognate field.
- 2–3 years of lecturing or formal tutoring experience.
- Online lecturing experience at tertiary level (advantageous).
- A professional accounting designation such as CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA or SAIPA (advantageous where relevant to the module).
- Strong time management and thorough lesson preparation.
- Confident presenting and close attention to detail.
- Excellent skills in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
