Part-Time Lecturer: Business Management

About this role

IIE Rosebank International, part of the ADvTECH Group, is looking for a part-time lecturer in Business Management. The post is based in Pretoria, Gauteng. The lecturer will guide students through the teaching and learning process and help improve how courses are delivered.

What you’ll do

• Track student engagement on the Learner Management System.
• Monitor pass rates at module level and act where students need help.
• Give ongoing support so students can develop.
• Teach online as well as in person.
• Take part in Programme Coordination Committee meetings.
• Help improve programme content and assessments.
• Hold subject and module consultations with students.
• Mark work on time so students get useful feedback.

What you need

• Minimum: an Honours degree in Business Management or Business Administration.
• Or: a Master’s or PhD in Business Management, Business Administration, Management or a closely related field.
• 2 to 3 years of lecturing or formal tutoring experience.
• Advantageous: online lecturing experience at tertiary level.
• Advantageous: a professional accounting or auditing designation, or another relevant professional registration.
• Strong time management and thorough lesson preparation.
• Confident presenting and close attention to detail.
• Excellent skills in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
