Part Time Lecturer - Marketing

About this role

IIE Rosebank International, part of the ADvTECH Group, is looking for a part-time Marketing lecturer to join its team in Pretoria. The role is for someone who can teach Marketing modules and support students through their assessments.

What you’ll do

• Deliver lectures and run student sessions that follow each module’s pacer and specific requirements.
• Look after academic materials and work with the Information Centre on resources.
• Keep the learning management system up to date and give students feedback.
• Prepare students for assessments, spot students who are at risk, and help develop assessments in line with briefings from the Central Academic Team.
• Track student engagement and assessment submissions, and escalate where needed.
• Review and analyse module results, and help the Programme Coordinator identify at-risk modules.
• Attend academic meetings across faculties and complete a set number of academic professional development activities each academic year.

What you need

• Essential: Degree, Honours or Master’s in Marketing.
• Essential: 2 to 3 years of lecturing or formal tutoring experience.
• Advantageous: 1 to 3 years of industry experience in your area of specialisation.
• Knowledge of the South African higher education system and its regulatory framework.
• Understanding of teaching and learning theory and interventions.
• Ability to provide student support and to work with digital academic platforms.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment, manage your time, and work well under pressure.
