About this role
Sasol is looking for a Process Operator Gr 2 to work at its Secunda operations in Mpumalanga. The job is about setting up and running production machinery so the plant runs smoothly and safely. Some work may include first-line maintenance support.
What you’ll do
- Clean machines, work benches, floors and protective equipment according to a planned routine.
- Pack and store materials in storage areas, and keep your work area tidy.
- Handle, pack and store raw materials, hazardous chemicals and gas cylinders safely, and load and off-load vehicles.
- Help with breakdowns and on-site services on mobile units, and carry out painting tasks as planned.
- Prepare and handle gassing solutions, and help with tanker off-loading and bulk truck cleaning where needed.
- Take part in emergency preparedness exercises, inspect safety equipment, and help keep health, safety and environmental systems in place.
What you need
- National Senior Certificate or N3 (required).
- 1 to 2 or more years of relevant work experience (required).
- A valid driver’s licence (required).
- Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely, and to wear and identify PPE correctly.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed, and to follow all safety and work standards.
- Working at heights permit and blasting tasks are included where applicable.
- Team skills, sound judgement, a practical attitude and a drive to keep learning.
