Product Manager

About this role

Vodacom, a major South African telecoms company, is looking for a Product Manager to work in its Fixed Connect Products and Services department. The base is the Vodacom Campus in Midrand, Johannesburg. The role manages the full product set, from pricing and reporting to commercial launch and performance.

What you’ll do

• Lead product development, product integration and go-to-market strategy so the product grows profitably and wins more market share.
• Build and maintain sales and support documents, costing models and pricing models for your products.
• Define products, study market needs and check that each product is viable and fits the wider range.
• Plan product launches, announcements and withdrawals, and manage each product through its life cycle.
• Bring new and enhanced products to market with the marketing, go-to-market and sales teams.
• Track financial performance and reporting for your product set.
• Work with Vodacom teams and partners to set specifications, rank features and coordinate new releases.

What you need

• A 3-year degree or diploma in a technical or business discipline, with a focus on product development and sales (essential).
• At least 5 to 8 years of proven experience in product development and product management.
• A proven track record of innovation and critical thinking.
• Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Good financial skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships at all levels, inside and outside the company.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary virtual teams to deliver a commercial product.
