Specialist Structural Infrastructure

About this role

Vodacom, part of the Vodafone group, is looking for a structural infrastructure specialist based in Bryanston. You will oversee upgrades to existing sites, including greenfield and rooftop projects that increase structural capacity while keeping tower quality up to standard.

What you’ll do

• Plan and scope structural upgrades on monopole, lattice and rooftop towers, as well as site and access upgrades.
• Lead projects from start to finish, keeping them on schedule, within budget and up to the required quality.
• Manage vendors and contractors by assigning tasks and giving them clear support and direction.
• Handle customer applications, co-location requests and amendments, and report on progress.
• Track budgets, project progress and data accuracy, and prepare reports for the project team and stakeholders.
• Spot project risks early and put plans in place to limit disruption to upgrades.

What you need

• A 3-year degree or national diploma, for example a BSc in Construction Management or Project Management (essential).
• At least 3 years of experience managing contractors and budgets in a technical environment (essential).
• Experience in telecommunications infrastructure (essential).
• Experience managing tower modifications and customer applications.
• A valid Drivers Licence Code 08 (essential).
• Skills in structural infrastructure assessment, risk management, problem solving and decision making, and stakeholder management.
