Sales and Merchandising Assistant Intern

About this role

Managed People Solutions is looking for a Sales and Merchandising Assistant intern to join its team in Sandton, Gauteng. This is a structured 12-month programme that starts on 1 November 2026. It is designed to build your practical skills in sales, merchandising and customer service.

What you’ll do

• Ride along with Sales Representatives on their daily routes and learn how a sales day works.
• Help the sales team work towards its sales targets.
• Arrange products so shelves and displays look neat, well stocked and eye-catching.
• Speak to customers, answer their questions and help build good relationships with them.
• Learn how in-store promotions are planned and run.
• Work with your team to hit sales and merchandising goals.

What you need

• A Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude, honesty and a strong sense of responsibility.
• A willingness to learn, take initiative and work well in a team.
• A real interest in sales, customer service and merchandising.
• A firm commitment to finishing the full 12-month programme on a full-time basis.
• Availability to work through the December peak season, including the festive season.
