Specialist: Facilities, Safety & Wellness

About this role

Infinity Services Partner Company is a managed services business owned by Vodacom. It is recruiting a specialist to look after its buildings, safety systems and employee wellness programmes. The base is Centurion.

What you’ll do

• Manage technical projects, from preparing tender documents to supervising and coordinating contractors.
• Check the technical suitability of new premises and plan future building work that fits business goals.
• Lead green and energy-saving building initiatives, and keep building maintenance and essential services running.
• Make sure buildings meet municipal, health and safety rules, and track contractor performance against service agreements.
• Write and enforce safety policies, run audits and inspections, and investigate incidents with clear corrective actions.
• Run employee wellness programmes, wellness days and events, manage the Employee Assistance Programme and supplier relationships, and report monthly and quarterly on results.

What you need

• Matric / Grade 12.
• A relevant qualification. A three-year degree is preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in facilities, property, building or construction, or electrical engineering management.
• Two to three years of experience managing safety initiatives.
• Two to three years of experience managing wellness initiatives.
• Good knowledge of facilities and building management, health, safety and quality legislation, ISO standards and statutory regulations.
• Skills in contract management, budgeting, building management control systems and project management.
• Negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, plus engineering (electrical and mechanical) and event planning skills.
