Store Manager

About this role

TFG is recruiting a part-time Store Manager for its American Swiss Jewellery store at Canal Walk in the Western Cape. The person in this role runs the store day to day, from sales and stock to the team and the customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Grow store sales and work towards set sales targets.
• Keep costs under control.
• Manage stock losses so shrinkage stays within company standards.
• Lead the team, including recruiting, developing staff, handling employee relations and managing performance.
• Carry out the in-store merchandising plan and keep displays to standard.
• Deliver excellent service in line with the customer service strategy and meet customer needs.

What you need

• Matric certificate (Grade 12).
• At least 3 years of retail experience.
• At least 1 year in a store leadership role.
• Strong customer service and sales skills, including negotiation and managing the sales process.
• Planning and organising skills, and a good understanding of policies and procedures.
• Leadership skills: motivating staff, holding people accountable and directing team activities.
• Good use of digital communication with customers.
